Perform detailed validation of user manuals for a wide range of consumer products (e.g., minor electronics, home appliances, garden tools) targeting the European/US market.
Critically analyse technical drawings to ensure they accurately reflect product assembly and usage, focusing on clarity and precision in steps and diagrams.
Check if the instructions and pictures in the manuals make sense and are easy to use, making sure they show the right way to put together and use the product.
Give feedback on PDF files and technical drawings, suggesting ways to make the user manuals better and easier to understand.
Collaborate closely with technical editors and designers to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvements in manuals.
Ensure compliance with internal and customer-specific guidelines, as well as legal standards relevant to consumer products.
Help test products to see if instructions are easy to understand.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in a role requiring technical expertise in consumer products, such as a mechanical engineer, DIY expert, or a similar field.
Solid understanding of technical illustrations and ability to critically evaluate their accuracy and usability.
Basic knowledge of design software (Adobe Suite, AutoCAD) is a plus, indicating familiarity with technical drawings and illustrations.
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Studies, Quality Management, or related fields.
Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and logical, analytical thinking.
Strong organizational and coordination skills, able to work efficiently in a team and under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of providing clear and constructive feedback.
